Dr. Bill Kimmerle / CEO 

Kimmerle purchased Baker McMillen, a hardwood products company, in 1999. Today the company operates an OEM Manufacturing division (Baker McMillen Co.) and Waddell Mfg. (a turn-around) both located in Stow, OH. Waddell is now an industry leader in the DIY retail market, serving Lowe’s, The Home Depot and other leading DIY retailers. By forging strong relationships with manufacturers in Asia, Kimmerle made new products central to each company's culture, making them leaders in low-cost hardwood manufacturing.

In 2010 Kimmerle purchased Nuance Systems Inc. NSI, based in Portland, OR, which manufactures ultra-high purity components for the semiconductor, LED, solar, and other disruptive technologies. Customers include; Intel, Applied Materials, First Solar and numerous other fortune 500 companies. NSI is a total solution provider to its high-tech customers. This is accomplished thru its PhD-level R&D team as well as its highly trained and experienced associates. Kimmerle has authored more than a dozen patents. After growing NSI’s reputation and profile in the Semiconductor Industry, Kimmerle sold the company to Wynnchurch Capital Partners in 2020, which then added NSI to its CPS (Critical Process Systems) platform. Kimmerle continues to actively assist Wynnchurch/CPS with NSI’s growth.  

After completing his BS in Physics, Kimmerle earned a full academic scholarship to Columbia University, in New York City where he completed his Masters and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. In the years that followed, he worked as a research scientist for Babcock & Wilcox in power generation, developing patents for Nuclear Power Generation related to the US Nuclear Navy, for which he obtained high-level security clearance (DOE & DOD).  

Kimmerle served on the board of directors of Morgan Bank, N.A. and its audit committee, as well as the advisory board for LNB Bancorp. He served as; a trustee for The Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund, campaign coordinator for the Northern Summit County of The United Way, an executive committee member of the Young Presidents Organization and a fund raiser for the American Red Cross. Kimmerle recently funded the Kimmerle Family Charitable Trust with greater than $1M in assets and continues to support a plethora of philanthropic organizations. Kimmerle is currently a member of YPO Gold in Cleveland, OH and resides in northeastern Ohio.
